Activities in Drug & Alcohol Treatment

The most effective drug rehab treatment is developed form the concept of treating the whole individual. This HOLISTIC approach includes all areas of the addict's personality, emotions, and spirituality. Nothing is left to chance. In fact, recovery is most effective when a person 'improves' as a person, thus giving him hope and choice as to how he will develop his life. When the addiction is treated exclusively, the underlying problems remain and we are headed again toward relapse. There's a saying in recovery circles, "The man that I was drank. The man that I am will drink again. I have to change the man that I am."

Mental, emotional, and spiritual development begins integration of the personality, and as we grow and mature, our inner-self feels more fulfilled and therefore, the urge to drink or use drugs eventually disappears. This is how a responsible treatment center can lead the addicted personality toward a healthy, drug free lifestyle. .

The Drug Treatment Center turns personal development 'work' into challenge. Building a new life is more exciting than 'fixing' an old one. Our curriculum gives every consideration to all aspects of a healthy lifestyle. We see 'non-caring' attitudes eventually transform into positive focus. The addictive personality obviously wants to feel good. Proof is he has almost ruined his life to get the next drug high. When he eventually becomes capable of being honest with himself, and realizes his life is unmanageable and out of control, he then is motivated to change it. His attention turns to healthy alternatives to make himself feel good in sobriety.
