CTC incorporates a non-confrontive, therapy that encourages people to look inside themselves, admit their problems, and begin the repair of their personal shortcomings. Quality recovery 'leads' instead of lectures. The staff at CTC understands the addicts need for friendship and guidance.

Treatment
Treatment for chemical addiction is a THERAPY PROCESS. Self-discovery is a search for truth. If a person is motivated to discover the source of his problems and discover the patterns of mistakes in his life, that is the point that he becomes interested in a constructive lifestyle. Destructive addicted behavior is based on nothing more than a person's hopelessness that he/she cannot change for the better. Drug addicts and alcoholics alike think they are different from their fellows. CTC points out to its clients their inherent good, and corrects 'the negative way' they have been living. A personal fact-finding process is taught and enhanced with counseling, groups, drug and alcohol education and self-improvement workshops. At the same time, solutions to the original problems are offered.

Transitional Care (Sober Living)
Entering society after 84 days of primary treatment is a critical juncture for one who is in the process of transitioning from a drug-addicted life style to sober, productive living. In fact, most relapse occurs at this point-it's an old story; the addict stays clean for awhile, then inevitably the spiral of old thinking returns and we have another relapse. The best 'defense' against relapse is not in the 'relapse prevention classroom', but in an ongoing personal struggle to improve and grow. This makes the semi-structured phase of Transitional Care an important component of lasting sobriety. 'Taking personal responsibility' and 'paying your own way' is the theme of here.

Detoxification Phase
Any responsible treatment program will individually assess each individual needing detoxification. There are a variety of Detox Models available today for those who want to clean up from drugs. CTC specializes in assessment and placement of patients. All detox needs are not the same. Specific drug, and drug usage, history of abuse, etc. all, are evaluated before placement recommendation.

Rapid Detox
A medical model of the detox process. Abusers of opioids are turning more nowadays to a process of detoxification called rapid detox. This is doctor supervised, and inpatient procedure.

Obsessive Disorders
Compulsive-obsessive disorders fall under the same medical category as drug addiction. We have certain behaviors gaining 'more momentum' in an untreated person; these are illnesses that can be treated very successful in a drug and alcohol treatment setting. Eating disorders, gambling, sex addictions, compulsive shopping, shop lifting, etc. are but a few. CTC offers effective therapy for these compulsions aside from or in addition to substance abuse.

Family Care
An integral component of treating the addicted individual is family therapy, and bringing both client and family together is a long-standing treatment strategy that proves to be equally effective for both parties. Our Family Care is facilitated by experienced staff members who have the training and experience to make a difference.

Dual Diagnostic Tract
Clients with co-existing disorders will find a very comprehensive program of therapy at CTC. We treat bi-polar issues, depression, eating disorders, attention deficit disorder, and many of the other major mood disorders. CTC has 2 outstanding psychiatrists on its team. If individual assessment indicates medication will benefit our clients, it is our policy to incorporate this medical strategy while coordinating chemical dependency treatment as well. Mental balance and emotional levels respond very well to modern medications intended precisely for this very purpose. A large portion of people in treatment today have a dual diagnostic condition.

Medical Assessment
Responsible drug rehab should include a hierarchy process of treating addiction. First things first; CTC emphasizes the physical safety and medical needs of all of its clients immediately when admitted. Whether mental, emotional, or medical, if the situation warrants, a medical screening is called for. This can be followed by psychological and psychiatric support if necessary. Medication is prescribed if our team of professionals has determined that the client will benefit.

Psychosocial
CTC employs a nonconfrontive, caring and supportive therapy to point out low areas of self-esteem, personal habits and destructive mental and emotional patterns that give cause to addiction. A compassionate atmosphere prevails at CTC, and clients are encouraged to proactively participate in their new self-discovery adventure.

Drug and Alcohol Education
CTC offers one of the finest educational curriculums on the effects of addiction and alcoholism today. Alcoholism and drug abuse can destroy a life. Solutions to problems cannot be seen through the 'smoke and mirror' mentality of the addicted person; it is a significant benefit for our clients to 'see' their 'mental processes through the eyes of others. Our classroom and seminars show how insidious drugs are; and how they affect a person physically, emotionally, and mentally. Relapse prevention is heavily emphasized.

Peer Level Group Therapy
Caring and understanding staff facilitate regularly scheduled group sessions and aid clients in the early stages of communication, Our trained staff 'lead', not 'push' people through this difficult stage of recovery. Self-honesty and openness are introduced here as a major factor in long-term sobriety and growth.

Spiritual Support
'Grow or go' is an old saying around recovery and drug rehab circles. A person who tries to change himself for the better, and works with determination and consistency, will not relapse! Spirituality is changing from the 'inside' and that can include character building and moral improvement.

Programs
Addicted people, long before they come to Treatment, attempt to change their lives on their own. These efforts are noble, but short-lived. The facts about drug addiction and alcoholism are 'manageability' and 'self-control' have been taken away from a person. The drug has become more important than reason for those who have crossed the 'invisible line of addiction.' Another spree always begins for another reason. Unless there is real repair, both emotionally and mentally, and a change of lifestyle, one will not overcome chemical addiction. Professional treatment of addiction supports, educates, and heals through therapy. Staying clean for a while is a good thing, but staying clean and sober forever is great!

People Can Change/Addicts Can Change
Change requires a new way of thinking and behaving. Thus, recovery is a fact-finding and fact facing process. In drug rehab, education and therapy is at hand, and delivering it the most effective way is a skill. For success, clients need to absorb new concepts and principals, practice them, and eventually "actualize" them into their own personality and lifestyle. When a person seeks to change himself, the progress he makes is a result of 'effort.' Growth and maturity ensue.

The "Program"
The term "Program" means the philosophy and action a person uses to guide himself to something better. CTC's program of drug recovery and alcoholism treatment provides a drug free, responsible direction. Most people new to the world of recovery need to be inspired by others. CTC's personal sober success stories, and staff personalities, create a powerful influence that leads to a new life.
